The Pulmonary Group of Central Florida is one of only two practices in Lake County that offers “the gold standard” of pulmonary function testing that is more comfortable for the patients and generates more reliable results so Dr. Diaz can identify your condition and determine treatment.
The new machine is the most accurate way to measure lung volume. During the test, patients breath through a mouthpiece while wearing nose clips.
In addition to measuring how quickly you can move air out of your lungs, the machine measures how well gases, such as oxygen, are being absorbed into your blood from your lungs.

Our experienced team of nurses and office staff will assist you at every office visit and will explain your diagnosis and treatment options so you can easily understand and feel comfortable about your care.
Any test or procedure you are asked to undergo will be fully explained to you beforehand, and any questions you have regarding that test or procedure will be answered to your satisfaction before we begin. We will provide written information to you and/or your family about the procedure, what to expect, and what you need to do to prepare for the procedure.

Please bring the following information to your appointment:
On Your First Visit
Your medical history;
Your primary care physician’s name and address;
For your convenience, we have provided new patient forms which you are welcome to complete prior to your first appointment;
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow the staff to review and enter your data.
On All Visits
Please be sure to bring a list of the medications you are currently taking, as well as dosages for each;
Your insurance cards;
Any changes in your address, telephone number or insurance carrier.
If, for any reason, you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please call us as soon as possible.
As is customary in the medical profession, we require payment at the time of your appointment. We will file your insurance claim for these services. Our office staff can assist you with any questions you may have. If you have questions about your insurance plan, please contact your insurance carrier.
We currently participate with a number of insurance providers. We also file claims with private insurance. If your insurance company requires, you may be responsible for any referral, deductible or co-pay fees. We are not contracted with Managed Care Plans at this time. You may need to contact your Primary Care Physician for participating providers. If you would still like to receive these services, you will be responsible for the entire cost of these services. Our office staff will be glad to discuss fees for non-covered services with you.
If your insurance carrier requires you to obtain a referral from your primary physician before visiting Pulmonary Group of Central Florida, please be sure that your primary physician is aware of all of your pulmonary complaints so that he/she can accurately complete the referral form. We are authorized to treat only those conditions listed by your primary physician on the referral form. Without a proper referral form, we are not authorized to treat you. Our office staff will be glad to assist you in obtaining the appropriate referral form.
